Half a Pace

Must all in nature
cut corners? Keeling over:
losing its balance?

Food killed and left
Tears shed in destroyed cities
Compassion undone?

Slow down half a pace
What will I do with this day,
that is of value?

Looking around us:
Always something we can find
to make the world smile.
